The historic village of Kettering was first explored in 1792 by Bruni D’Entrecateaux (whom the surrounding channel is named) and is situated in a bay known as Little Oyster Cove.
Settled in the 1800s Kettering has grown around the fishing ,ferry and whaling port of Little Oyster Cove.
Kettering village is only 30 minutes drive south of Hobart surrounded by wooded hills and offering stunning views of Little Oyster Cove, Bruny island and the D’Entrecasteaux Channel.
As well as being located at the gateway to Bruny Island the village offers ready access to a wide range of local attractions and is an ideal base to explore the world-renowned Huon Trail.
